Denise K. Lopes, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, RI she was a daughter of the late John "Pie" and Mary (Silva) Lopes.
She is survived by her children, Devin C. Lopes, Takesha Lopes, Kyle Lopes, Ashley Lopes, Larenta Draper, Melissa Lopes; longtime companion Allen Draper; sisters, Damiana Taylor of Providence, Cynthia Ollivierre of Huntersville, NC, Michele Fox of North Providence; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John R. Lopes and sister Vanessa Greene.
Her funeral will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, December 1st from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Matthew Church, 15 Frances Ave., Cranston, RI (corner of Park and Elmwood Avenues). Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
